I am a graphic designer based in Loughborough, where I have lived and worked for almost ten years. I originally trained as an industrial designer for five years, alongside which I was employed as a cartoonist for a newspaper. Prior to this, I worked as an author and illustrator between 1994 and 1998.
I paint primarily in oils on canvas and I have been undertaking commissions since 2004. These have included portraits, the human figure, animals and landscapes. Prices start from around £200 depending on the size and complexity of the painting.
The biggest influences in my paintings are Matisse, Hodgkin and Hockney. The human figure, light and how they interact are a constant theme throughout my work.
