Born and grew up in Leicester, first loves were music, dancing and drawing. Following Fine Art in Liverpool, participated in numerous exhibitions in Leicester. Now based near Market Harborough, member of Harborough Artists Cluster. Currently exhibiting sketchbooks in 'The Moment of Privacy is Passed' Usher Gallery, Lincoln. ‘I've always loved colour and expression as I interpret the landscape, people, birds and animals I see around me. My work is based on observation and experience and memory. Essentially figurative, but recently exploring planes of colour and light. There is no such thing as a simple landscape, the more you look, the more you see and there is movement everywhere. At the heart of my work is drawing which I believe is vital; I find that I can't feel the subject until I've drawn it. I believe that it's the root of the expressive nature of my work’.
