I work as a part-time artist/photographer, whilst working for Leicestershire museums and I produce Landscape/still life
photographs, which are available as framed images, postcards and cards. I can produce the above work for individual buyers or galleries. I also accept commissions and projects within galleries, museums and other educational establishments, including schools.
I have taken typically classic genres, such as landscape painting and developed my own visual
language through the lens, combining it with a documentary style. I try not to physically change any image with photo editing software. I have used what could be sometimes seen as a problem in photography – over/under exposure or blurring and using these aspects to emphasise certain details within an image.
A lot of my work is in black and white or low colour, because in stripping an image down to its simplest form, it creates a dramatic effect. Black and white gives me a lot more freedom.
I am happy to sell work to galleries/shops outright or provide work on a sale or return basis.
The price range of my work is £60 upwards. Although for commissions or projects, prices would be negotiatied on an individual basis, taking into account the customer's individual needs.
