I trained as a textile designer although my work now is mainly illustration. I use mixed media including printmaking to create strong individual images. I work onto paper and usually sell my work drymounted onto board and then overmounted ready to frame.
I have recently illustrated a number of poems by the Leicestershire poet Helen Johnson as part of the Write/Muse project. My work is inspired by stories, things my kids say, outsider and tribal art. I am also an arts development worker and I run workshops with groups on a freelance basis.These include childrens art sessions and sessions for adults within mental health settings. I am available for commissions, either for illustration work or for original pictures. I sell my work by size and my prices start at £50 for a mounted original.
