My original felted hand and shoulder bags have organically sculptural forms.
I have developed innovative knitting and felting techniques in order to create bags which have an interesting, harmonious blending of colours and a distinctive highly original seamless shape.
I hand knit each bag using 3 strands 100% lambs wool yarn. Then felt them, this transforms the bag from a loose knitted fabric into a dense, strong and tactile felt.
It is important to me that no knitted stitches remain visable after this process, for the bags to be effective both aesthetically and practically, they must be a single seamless piece of felted wool.
All my work is created from my original designs developed both from my own inspiration and from customer’s requests.
