The gallery has three exhibition spaces and will open for set events throughout the year, each lasting some three to four weeks.
The aim of the gallery is to create a vibrant atmosphere with exhibitions by emerging and nationally recognised artists, producing a mix of contemporary paintings, installations, sculpture and other works of art.
The gallery is situated behind one of the oldest thatched cottages in Castle Donington. The gallery was previously a milking parlour, part of a working farm.
The house dates back to the Tudor period and was built in 1500.
