The seasonal shifts, changing features of the landscape and transient visitors, provide the inspiration for Deborah Bird’s work. She has always enjoyed the winter landscape the most.
Deborah’s photography takes inspiration from pattern and sequence in nature. Her intricate paper sculptures provide an evolving framework for ice. Photographs capture the moment, the frozen bubbles, fractures and fissures, as the ice is slowly reclaimed in the warmth of the studio or out on location.
