I make a range of coiled stoneware vessels based on traditional shapes, which can be functional. A coarse clay is used; the resulting texture is an important feature of the work. As the coils are added they are beaten and scraped to refine the shape and form.
The pieces are glazed by dripping or pouring a simple ash glaze over, sometimes the bare clay is left to further add texture.
Commissions would be considered but each piece is individual. The pots are fired in my own woodfired kiln.
Pieces range in price from £10 up to £250
