Conventionally objects are placed at the centres of paintings and photographs but I am concerned with the shapes objects make in relation to one another and the space between them, so familiar objects might end up at the edge. My work is semi abstract and I experiment with different paint textures. I take a Fauve approach to colour in that often the colours in my work bear little relation to reality. I paint in a variety of media including oil, acrylic and watercolour.
For my digitally abstracted photographs I use Photoshop to manipulate images to make them look more like conventional prints with apparently drawn lines and blocks of colour.
My work ranges in price from £35 for an A3 digitally abstracted photograph up to less than £300 for a 36” wide oil painting.
I am willing to accept commissions.
