Anne-Marie's current work bridges the gaps between painting, object, audio, text and installation and centres around the fact that she is a collector. She collects all manner of objects that trigger past memories from her life. These objects are then brought together with painting to create alternative self portraits whilst at the same time challenging how painting is defined.
She also accepts commissions whereby the customer selects some of their own personal objects and she then creates highly personal paintings based on the information that they provide. The paintings are also accompanied by a typed book with images to explain the layers within that painting and their significance. Alternatively an audio guide to the painting may be provided in place of the typed book. Paintings range from £250 to £2000 depending on the size and detail of the work.
