As a graduate in Design Crafts (BA Hons) I work as a ceramicist, specialising in porcelain.
Inspired by the lines of nature.I begin with photography and interpret these into vessels, bowls, coasters and jewelery. Each piece is handmade by slip casting - the process of pouring 'liquid clay' into a handmade mould. Some pieces are abstract, some distort naturally due to the effect of heat and some are decorated with coloured and volcanic glaze.
They are all original, one off pieces. Each piece is kiln fired twice and polished at each stage.
