I am a painter, illustrator and designer. I studied Fine Art in the 1980s at Loughborough College of Art & Design and at The University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I have exhibited and sold work from a variety of venues from Settle in North Yorkshire to Covent Garden in London.
I have developed my painting alongside my work as an illustrator, graphic designer and publishing manager.
During the 1990s I undertook a Masters degree to research the impact of illustration in publications. I regularly illustrate books and also exhibit illustrative work.
From an early age, I have always loved painting and drawing. It gives me great satisfaction and I hope it communicates something of the wonder and beauty of the natural world.
Travelling to interesting places, I am moved and inspired by landscapes and peoples' resourcefulness.
My paintings range in price from £150 to £3000 and I accept interesting commissions. Prints and cards of original works are also available on request.
